The Count Down Has Begun!!

The Count-down has begun! Only 4 more days till the official opening day of Kings Adult Entertainments Home Office! And it's really a "home-office"! It’s been a minute since my last blog, but this one should be well worth the wait! June is a HUGE month here at Kings! First,just like every June before it, I celebrate my Birthday this month & people that know me kinda already know I usually party all month long! However,this June is a little more special this time around! Why? Cause,June 29th marks 10 years that Kings Adult Entertainment has been in business!

Some of you may not know this but, it was 10 years ago this month, when I first came up with the idea for Kings Adult Ent., Originally, Kings was to specialize in adult novelties only! Here’s how it all went down. In response to the many Americans being sent to war right after 911, I saw a opportunity to address the need of the many women that were left behind by their spouses & love ones….the need to fill a void. Although no one wanted to admit it at first, after some time the physical needs women have to be stimulated & physically/mentally satisfied can be a overwhelming necessity! Especially for those whose partners are half way around the world.

My idea was to help keep these women faithful & provide a outlet for a safe yet powerful “release”. That’s when it hit me .. give em TOYS! My idea was to make my “toy parties” as popular & most sought after like it’s age old Tupperware counterpart. By marketing adult toys/novelties to these women, I thought I’d fill a need that “no one” wanted to admit even existed! Boy was I right! It wasn’t long after my 1st sale (rabbit, June 29th 2002) that the word quickly spread that not only could you have a toy party & buy cool “fun-treats”,but you could get them at prices that rivaled or in most cases were much more affordable than just about any store in the Washington DC Metro area! What was most surprising to me, was that the parties were short & few,while just straight one on one orders were the more popular thing.

Once word of mouth took over, it was clear to me that many women knew what they wanted & they wanted it yesterday. To wait for a party to go down, was not feasible to them, but hey, it worked for me! Then….”IT” happened. One of my customers decided she wanted to send her husband some sexy photos to keep his spirits up & to remind him of what he needed to come back home to. She asked me if I could take the photos for her. She said she had a trust & comfort level with me because of our great relationship with the toy sales. She felt confident I would be professional enough for the task(well, at least she did!). Fortunate for me, photography was one of my loves in high school. Once again, it wasn’t long before, “word of mouth” had me taking intimate flicks for the wives/love ones of soldiers just about every week!

Soon, I was exploring the entire world of Adult Entertainment Industry in a effort to see what else could I get into next! After securing a decent distributor of adult products & implementing a system to keep prices low, shipping/delivery fast & advertising costs at a minimum, it was time dive into the next chapter…my own adult website! I was constantly being told that I had a air of sexuality & a few people suggested I consider porn. Well, I wasn't interested in being a porn star, I really didn’t feel I was “built” for it. But somehow I thought…it would be cool to make a adult website that would allow me to take sexuality to another level. I would control what’s on it, take the photos, video, it would be HOT! My own adult website…cool, so I did it!

To make a extremely long story short,but detailed..Kings went from just toys, to adult websites, mobile digital photography & parties! It was my plan to provide mature adults with the best in full circle adult products & services…period. Needless to say,after 10 years, recently (literally like the last few weeks)I had to ask, Am I enjoying myself? Is this something that I want to continue doing? Am I really making a difference in this business? While I was pondering these question my phone rang with a order from a longtime customer, a female officer from a nearby military base. She wanted a new toy for the weekend & after all these years, she had only purchased from me. It was odd to say the least that I’d get a order/call from someone like her, while I was just asking myself these questions. Well, I guess I had my answer.The show must go on!

In closing, the REAL meaning behind this short blog is a message of encouragement.For ANYONE in business,let me share this.Over the years there have been ups & downs with with continue growing my business.However,the ONE THING that remains the same & has made us the best at what we do is always making customer service priority number one!
